Due to ongoing and overwhelming demand, rock icons THE USED today announce an additional show for Melbourne to kick off their upcoming 25th Anniversary Tour this August and September; an extra and definitely final performance for this run with no further shows to be added.
And following the earlier announcement of second shows for Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, as well as venue upgrades for Adelaide and Perth, today THE USED have also revealed their supports for the 25th Anniversary Tour, with special guests HANDS LIKE HOUSES and HEAVENSHE splitting support duties across this mammoth 21-date run. HANDS LIKE HOUSES will perform at the first round of Melbourne and Sydney shows and all Brisbane shows in August, while HEAVENSHE will appear at the second round of Melbourne and Sydney shows, as well as all Adelaide and Fremantle shows from late August through to early September.
Injecting a fresh dose of modern stadium rock into Australia's thriving alternative scene, Canberra's HANDS LIKE HOUSES have cultivated a horde of acclaim and a stalwart live reputation over the years. From releasing multiple Top 10 ARIA charting albums, through to snagging a triple j feature album, sold out tours, amassing over 280 million Spotify streams and selling over 130K records worldwide, HANDS LIKE HOUSES have also collaborated with Sleeping With Sirens and Normandie, and most recently released their fifth studio album Atmospherics earlier this year, which was praised by KERRANG! as a "megalodon...it is a firm stance of independence, rooting them back into new, fertile soil for whatever may come next."
A completely independent project from Tonight Alive's Jenna McDougall, HEAVENSHE blends cinematic indie-rock and 90s nostalgia, laced with the defiant spirit of McDougall's punk roots. Wielding themes of disenchantment, loneliness, heartbreak and healing, HEAVENSHE spans the gamut of the human existence, with her most recent singles Floor Bed, Wish I Had A Friend and Essential dazzling with catharsis, relatability and sharpened dalliances with everything from pop-rock through to snarling yet crisp grunge. Whether touring with the likes of You Me At Six, Short Stack and Stand Atlantic, collaborating with Illy or releasing music set to soundtrack stadiums, road trips or bedroom singalongs, HEAVENSHE is a heart-led full-bodied sonic catharsis.
This very special upcoming tour is set to offer an unforgettable experience for fans, with back-to-back nights in each city across Australia featuring a full album playthrough of THE USED's formative releases that shaped the sound of early 2000s alternative rock. The celebration will highlight the band's first three albums performed from start to finish: their self-titled record The Used (2002), In Love And Death (2004) and Lies For The Liars (2007).
As the band reaches a quarter-century milestone, these records are largely regarded as highly influential, and it is no wonder each of them has been certified either platinum or gold by the RIAA in the US, and sold over 10 million albums worldwide.
THE USED will also be offering VIP packages as part of their Australian 25th Anniversary Tour in 2025. Packages include one general admission ticket, band meet and greet, photo opp, signed 12” Record Flat of “Album of the Night,” exclusive “Album of the Night” enamel pin, limited edition disposal camera, tote bag, metal laminate with lanyard with early access to the venue and merch. All VIP tickets are available via https://theused.net.
With multiple sold out dates and venue upgrades already in place for THE USED's upcoming 25th Anniversary Tour, and definitely no additional shows to be announced, don't miss your chance to celebrate 25 years of monumental rock with THE USED across Australia this August and September, revisiting the three albums that started it all for these once-in-a-lifetime shows!
